Who can apply for Iceland Visa?

You can apply for an Iceland Visa if you are travelling to Iceland for the purpose of:

  • Tourism and sight-seeing

Key Documents for Iceland Visa application:

  • Original Passport & Visas
  • Your valid passport.

    Old passports (if any)

    Previous visas, especially visa of USA, UK or the Schengen area. It is beneficial to attach the copies of previous visas for a smoother process.

    ( Passport should be valid for at least 6 months post the date of return. )

    ( Your passport needs to have a minimum of two blank pages.)

  • Confirmed return flight tickets
  • The visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant. It is better to take expert guidance to ensure your application is without any errors. A Schengen Visa does not entertain errors and may lead to Visa refusal.
  • 2 Passport-size photos (colour) in white background
  • The photos should be in matte-finish and of size 35 mm x 45 mm

    Accepted size: 35 mm x 45 mm with 60% - 80% close-up image of face.

    The photograph should be recent, taken within the previous 6 months.

    Please make use the photographs were never used for any other visas in the past

  • Covering Letter
  • The letter should contain the applicant's name, designation, passport information, details of travel, duration of stay and purpose of visit.

    It should be addressed to The Visa Officer, Embassy of Iceland, New Delhi, and duly signed by an authorized signatory with the company stamp.

  • Income Tax Returns of the past 3 years.
  • Bank statement showing past 6 months' transactions, duly signed and attested.
  • Proof of accommodation with confirmed booking details.
  • Copy of Medical insurance.

Additional Documents for Iceland Visa

If the applicant is employed:

  • Salary slips for the last 3 months
  • Original letter of absence from Employer

If the applicant is self-employed/ is a company owner:

  • Please submit any one of the following documents:
  • Certificate of Registration of the Company.
  • Certificate of Incorporation (MOA / Proof of Proprietorship / Partnership deed, etc)
  • Covering Letter on the company letterhead
  • Financial documents.

If the applicant is a Student:

  • Original NOC letter from school/college
  • Copy of school/college ID card

If the applicant is Retired:

  • Pension statements of the past 3 months
  • Proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business

If the applicant is a Minor traveller travelling alone :

  • Original NOC by both parents
  • Copy of their passports (first and last page)

Note:

  • Visa will be processed within 15 working days from the date of application submission. However, the visa approval time is solely at the discretion of the consulate.
  • For applicants collecting the documents from Mumbai, an additional courier fees of Rs. 300 will be charged. For applicants based in any place other than Mumbai, an additional courier fee of Rs. 700 will be charged for the Iceland visa.
